PGHA Medians Improvement Project Phase 1 elements

(Completed 2010)

  • The complete revamping of the irrigation system on the first median island on Riviera Drive.
  • All new plantings and hardscape ground cover on the first island on Riviera Drive.
  • A general cleanup of all remaining islands on Riviera Drive along with hardscape groundcover (no irrigation system exists on these islands).
  • The complete revamping of the existing irrigation system on all median islands on Peacock Drive.
  • All new plantings and hardscape ground cover on all islands on Peacock Drive.
  • A general cleanup of the Biscayne Drive entry island
  • The construction of the San Marino Drive entryway monument and sign.
  • A general cleanup and hardscape ground cover on the San Marino Drive entryway area.
  • Updated water distribution hardware and controllers.

PGHA Medians Improvement Project Phase 2 elements

(Currently in planning stage)

  • Removal and saving as applicable the existing hardscape ground cover on the Riviera Drive medians - numbers two through four.
  • Excavation and street trenching associated with a water distribution network.
  • All new drip/other irrigation infrastructure installed in the Riviera Drive medians and tied into the new water distribution network and irrigation electronic controllers.
  • Soil augmentation to prepare for planting of approved shrubbery.
  • Removal of selected volunteer shrubbery, pruning of existing olive trees as needed. 
  • Planting of selected shrubbery consistent with the existing appearance of the adjacent median.
  • Replacement of hardscape ground cover on the Riviera Drive medians.
  • Purchase and installation of solar powered up lighting for the entryway logo signs.
